New Director at Casa Juan Diego

We are thrilled to welcome CJD’s new program director, Jennifer O’Neil, who brings with her over ten years in the field of urban education and a Masters in Education from Harvard University  Jenny’s family lived in

Central America during her middle--school years and she brings a fluency in Spanish and a desire to build upon

CJD’s strong tradition of supporting families in Pilsen.

2009 Shamrock Shuffle Marathon.

On March 29^th 2009 a group from Casa Juan Diego run on the Chicago Shamrock Marathon, a group of 50 people register to participate in the walk/run. On that day the weather blessed us with a very nice day full of snow and water, the CJD group did not backed up from this challenge and 21 runners and walkers showed up to participate.

Thank so much to all the sponsors and participants, all the money raised from this event will go to the summer program. The program will serve 80 students between the ages of 6 and 18 years old.
