AFTER SCHOOL
PROGRAM
FOR YOUTH
The Youth Program at Casa Juan Diego wants our participants to grow into responsible individuals; we are providing them with the skills and support in school achievement and social attitude. TUTORING: During the School Year we provide homework help. Participants also have support in college advisement, including applications, FAFSA, and scholarship searches Field trip: Youth visit museums, zoos, sport games and different events such as the Taste of Chicago and concerts at Ravinia Festival/Orquestra Hall. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: Our facility includes a game room with pool, ping-pong, foosball, table air hockey and board games. There is a movie screening every week. SPEAKERS/WORKSHOPS: Focus on building self-esteem and leadership qualities through information on healthy lifestyles free from drugs, violence and diseases. SERVICE HOURS: Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm during the school year.
