AFTER SCHOOL
PROGRAM
FOR YOUTH
The Youth Program at Casa Juan Diego wants our participants to grow into responsible individuals; we are providing them with the skills and support in school achievement and social attitude. We want to encourage the well being of our youth offering them the chance to network and meet new friends while learning valuable leadership skills. TUTORING: During the School Year we provide homework help. Participants also have support in college advisement, including applications, FAFSA, and scholarship searches Field trip: Youth visit museums, zoos, sport games and different events such as the Taste of Chicago and concerts at Ravinia Festival/Orquestra Hall. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: Our facility includes a game room with pool, ping-pong, foosball, table air hockey and board games. There is a movie screening every week. SPEAKERS/WORKSHOPS: Focus on building self-esteem and leadership qualities through information on healthy lifestyles free from drugs, violence and diseases. SERVICE HOURS: Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm during the school year.
